MARJORIE BYERS
died at home in St Albans on 22 August from pancreatic cancer. A research scientist at Rothamsted, she was also active in local politics as a member of the Labour Party. There will be no funeral but there will be a wake when the pandemic allows. Online donations are invited to actionaid.org.uk supporting women living in poverty and suffering from FGM, and to populationmatters.org supporting establishing a sustainable human population and regeneration of the environment.
