Gillian Balance

Balance Gillian died peacefully and without pain on Thursday 24th January 2019 in University College Hospital, London. She was 89. She lived and worked in Hertfordshire all her life, as a social worker with Hertfordshire County Council, as a lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire, and as a private psychotherapist. After retiring from the University in 1994, she worked for Freedom from Torture in London and then the Helen Bamber Foundation. She is sorely missed by her family and the many people who love her.
