PETER JAMES COOK (POPCORN PETE) Died peacefully at home on Wednesday 19th September, 2018. The funeral will take place at St Michaels Church, St Albans AL3 4SS at 11.30am on Wednesday 3rd October. Public parking is available opposite. There will also be a procession leaving on foot from the Rose and Crown Pub in the village from 11.00am. Peter was born on 13th May, 1930 in Cricklewood London but lived for over 60 years in St Albans. He worked at Handley Page, Sellotape and St Albans Council. He was a much loved Father to five daughters and Grandpa to eight Grandchildren. He survived his wife Vera Rose by twenty years. In his later years He suffered from Parkinsons but still managed to enjoy an active life with his family and many friends. The Arsenal, The Rose and Crown pub, Nuffield Health Club and the St Albans Parkinsons Group were all central to his life. He was 88 and will be dearly missed.
