HAZEL KATHLEEN MACDONALD 25th March 1948 - 6th March 2012 (aged 63) Hazel passed peacefully away on the evening of the 6th March 2012 in the arms of her husband Ian, with her family at her side at the Hospice of St. Francis, in Berkhampstead. Hazel was a devoted wife and loving mother to her daughter Karina Jane and her son Timothy. Hazel was also a cherished Nan to her two grandchildren Harry and Isabella. She was admired and loved by all who knew her. Her warmth, humour and boundless energy as well as her kindness were an example to all. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. All the family would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the Hospices; Grove House and St Francis for all the care they gave to Hazel. The funeral service will be held at St. John’s Church Harpenden at 9.30am on Saturday 24th March 2012. This will be followed by the burial at Westfield Cemetery, Harpenden at 11am. Flowers and / or donations if desired in Hazels memory to Phillips Funeral Services, 9 Victoria Road, Harpenden AL5 4EB (01582 461100). Donations will be divided between the Blue Cross and The Hospice of St. Francis.
