PEPPER - June passed away peacefully on 18th October 2011, aged 81 years. She was the beloved wife of the Late Reverend Noël Pepper, mother of Alison and Stewart and grandmother to five grandchildren. She is now happily reunited with Noël, just over four weeks since his sudden passing in September. She was known as a local schoolteacher in the St. Albans area since 1954, in Primary schools in Bricket Wood and St. Albans. June was a long-serving member at Dagnall Street Baptist Church, where she was active in running the Sunday School and singing in the choir. She also worked there as a part-time assistant in the Cross Street centre following her retirement from teaching. In later years she regularly attended Chiswell Green United Reformed Church. She was a member of St. Albans Choral Society for many years. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. A family-only committal will be followed by a Thanksgiving Service, to be held on Saturday 29th October 2011 at Chiswell Green United Reformed Church, Watford Road, St. Albans at 3.15pm. All welcome. No flowers please. Donations, if desired, can be made to Christian Relief Uganda. For further information and to send donations please contact Phillips Funerals, 68 Alma Road, St Albans AL1 3BL.
