A primary school near St Albans has been wrapping Christmas gifts for homeless people in the area.
Twenty Christmas bags packed with essentials and gifts have been arranged by Andrea Wright and St Albans Action for Homeless, with How Wood Primary School wrapping each item.
They contain items such as thermals, hats, scarves, socks, deodorant, hand gel, boxes of chocolates, and biscuits.
Lynn Dutton, from St Albans Action for Homeless, said: "This time of year is incredibly difficult for our street homeless and this year has been so much colder.
"Without the help of people like Andrea we couldn’t help them the way we do.
"We feed and clothe them and have opened Hope House which provides a home for four young lads. We have self-funded for four years, so people like Andrea are a god send.
"Her gifts are more than just a Christmas gift, they show these lads that you care. You see them, and you care enough to help them - that they are not invisible. Some of these guys have never been given a bag of presents at Christmas, this gives them hope.
"God bless everyone involved and thank you on behalf of SAAFH."
Cynthia Rowe, headteacher of How Wood Primary School, said: "Once again, the How Wood school community feel privileged to be involved in supporting this worthy cause.
"It is vitally important that our children understand that we can make a difference in our society and contribute positively towards helping others with small but significant acts of kindness."
