Children from a nursery in Redbourn have visited a fire station as part of an interest in 'people that help us'.
The students of Nursery on the Green, on South Common, took a walk through the village to Redbourn Fire Station to learn about fire safety.

While at the station, the children were given a talk before trying on protective clothing and having a race - timed by the chief - to see who could put on the gear the fastest.
Tours of the fire engine took place before children were allowed to knock down fire training templates with the water hose.
Back at the nursery, the children created their own fire engines using recycled materials.
Nursery on the Green Manager, Carli Toal, said: "We love to follow the children’s interests in nursery and our trip to the fire station provided so many fantastic learning experiences for the group.
"We are so grateful to the firefighters for giving up their time to make this visit so memorable for our pre-schoolers, who now have a much greater understanding of the important work they do within our community.”
