Three people have been hospitalised following a multi-vehicle crash on the M1.
The incident took place at around 2.12pm this afternoon (Thursday, April 6) between Junction 8 for Hemel Hempstead and Junction 9 for Redbourn.
Three vehicles were involved in the crash.

Traffic officers from National Highways, three ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle attended the scene.
Two patients were transported to Luton and Dunstable Hospital, whilst another was taken to Watford General Hospital.
All lanes of the motorway were reopened at around 3.46pm.
A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "Three ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle were sent to a multi-vehicle road traffic collision between Junctions 8 and 9 of the M1 this afternoon.
"Two patients were transported to Luton and Dunstable Hospital and a third was transported to Watford General Hospital."
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary earlier told The Herts Advertiser: "Police were called at around 2.12pm this afternoon (Thursday, April 6) following a three-vehicle collision on the northbound carriageway between Junctions 8 and 9 of the M1.
"Work is under way to recover the vehicles and colleagues from the ambulance service are at the scene."
