Over the weekend, residents from St Albans and beyond enjoyed an event which blended food, music and entertainment.

The Foodies Festival at Oaklands College, in Hatfield Road, took place from Friday, June 2 until Sunday, June 4.

The UK's 'biggest touring celebrity food and music festival' saw the city treated to a wide range of entertainment.

On Friday, a 'Cocktails and Cabaret' show featured an ABBA tribute, whilst 'Torn' performer and Masked Singer winner Natalie Imbruglia entertained on Saturday.

The final day of the festival saw Scouting for Girls headline, with hits such as 'She's So Lovely' and 'Elvis Ain't Dead' delighting the crowds.

Presentations from former Great British Bake Off, MasterChef and Great British Menu stars were enjoyed in the demonstration tents.

Meanwhile, sunny weather made axe-throwing, a helter-skelter and fairground rides pleasurable for all involved.

“We’ve all had a difficult few years, so to help keep things affordable festival prices have been frozen for the third year running – even though our stars and features get bigger and better every year. We offer a great value day out for families and friends.”

The event supported Musicians Against Homelessness (MAH), with tickets raising money for UK-wide homelessness charity Crisis.
