Another by-election has been called following the resignation of a St Albans City & District councillor.
According to the local authority, Elissa Da Costa-Waldman has resigned from her chair in the Marshalswick East & Jersey Farm ward.
Elissa Da Costa-Waldman was one of 48 Liberal Democrat councillors on the council.

No date for the by-election has yet been set.
The news follows the election of the Green Party's Cllr Juliet Voisey in St Peters ward.
This by-election took place on Tuesday, June 13, and saw Cllr Voisey elected with 628 votes.

The current political structure of St Albans City & District Council is as follows:
- Liberal Democrats: 47 seats
- Conservative Party: 4 seats
- Green Party: 3 seats
- Labour Party: 0 seats
- Independant: 1 seat
