Three fire engines have attended a blaze that followed a crash near St Albans.
Two vehicles collided at around 9.15am this morning (Friday, September 22), on the A405 North Orbital Road near Chiswell Green.
Following the crash one of the vehicles caught fire, and was "well alight" when firefighters arrived.

The road was closed in both directions while trauma care was provided to a person who was injured during the crash.
A hose reel was used to extinguish the blaze.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service was called at 9.15am this morning to reports of a vehicle on fire on the A405 between Park Street and The Noke.
"Three fire engines, from St Albans and Garston fire stations were sent to the scene, where crews found two vehicles that had collided in the road, one of which was well alight.
"Nobody was trapped so firefighters extinguished the fire and provided trauma care to one person injured in the collision until the ambulance arrived.
"The road was closed in both directions while emergency services dealt with the incident."
Motorists have been advised to avoid the area.
