The driver of a Ford Focus has fled the scene after being involved in a crash with a Volkswagen Polo.
The incident took place at around 8am on Sunday morning (November 12), when both vehicles collided near The Wicked Lady Pub, outside Wheathampstead.
The road was closed and a 37-year-old woman was taken to hospital with non-life threatening head injuries.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area.
No arrests have been made.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "Police were called at around 8am on Sunday, November 12, to reports of a road traffic collision between a titanium Ford Focus and a red Volkswagen Polo in Nomansland (B653), Wheathampstead.
"A 37-year-old woman was taken to hospital by paramedics with non-life-threatening head injuries.
"The driver of the Ford Focus fled from the scene prior to police arrival.
