The victim of a hit and run has described suffering "very severe bruising" and cuts in the devastating smash.
A Ford Focus collided with a Volkswagen Polo injuring the driver of the Polo before the other driver fled the scene.
Denise Sherrington was involved in the crash - which took place at around 8am on Sunday morning (November 12) - near The Wicked Lady Pub, outside Wheathampstead.
The motorist claims the Ford Focus "veered into her lane" during the collision, leaving her with no ability to avoid crashing.
Following the smash, the Ford driver fled the scene whilst Denise was left with injuries to her head, knees, arms and chest.
She described her car as "a complete write-off" after the incident, and has shared images of the state of the vehicle.
Following the collision, a spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "Police were called at around 8am on Sunday, November 12, to reports of a road traffic collision between a titanium Ford Focus and a red Volkswagen Polo in Nomansland (B653), Wheathampstead.
"A 37-year-old woman was taken to hospital by paramedics with non-life-threatening head injuries.
