St Albans' motorists will have 11 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
Three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• A414, from 10.30pm January 7 to 5am February 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A414 Watling Street Roundabout, Lane closures for surveying works on behalf of Volkafitzpatrick.
And a further 10 closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A405, from 10pm January 29 to 6am February 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A405 northbound, North Orbital Road to M25, junction 21, Lane closure for surfacing works.
• A405, from 10pm January 29 to 5.30am February 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 20 to junction 21A, carriageway and lane closure for surfacing works, diversion via National Highways and Local Authorities roads.
• M1, from 10pm January 30 to 5am January 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 6 to junction 5, Lane closures for urgent safety fence repairs.
• A414, from 10pm January 31 to 5am February 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound,, junction 8 - exit slip road lane closure due to emergency barrier/fence safety repair works on behalf of Ringway.
• M1, from 10pm February 1 to 5am February 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound,, junction 6A to junction 8 - lane closure for communications on behalf of National Highways.
• A414, from 10pm February 1 to 5am February 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound,, junction 8 - carriageway closure between exit and entry slip roads, lane closure and diversion route for communications on behalf of National Highways.
• M1, from 10pm February 5 to 5am February 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 both directions, junction 6 to junction 8 - lane closures for communications on behalf of National Highways.
• M25, from 10pm February 6 to 5am February 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise, junction 22 to junction 21A, Lane 4,3,2 closure for repair of signal.
• A1001, from 10pm February 12 to 6am February 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A1M, junction 3 Roundabout, Lane and slip road closures for testing works, diversion via National Highways and Local Authorities roads.
• A405, from 10pm February 12 to 5am February 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 8 - entry slip road closure, link road closure, lane closure and diversion route due to communications works on behalf of Ringway.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
