Drivers in and around St Albans will have 12 National Highways road closures to watch out for over the next two weeks.
Five are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• A414, from 10.30pm January 7 to 5am February 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A414 Watling Street Roundabout, Lane closures for surveying works on behalf of Volkafitzpatrick.
A further 11 closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A414, from 10pm February 19 to 5am February 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 6A to junction 5, exit and entry slip road closure for maintenance works, diversion via National Highways roads.
• M1, from 10pm February 19 to 5am February 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 both directions, junction 10 to junction 6A - lane closure for drainage on behalf of National Highways.
• A414, from 10pm February 20 to 5am February 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 5 to junction 6, exit and entry slip road closure for maintenance works, diversion via National Highways roads.
• M25, from 10pm February 20 to 5am February 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti clockwise, junction 22 to junction 21, Lane closure for urgent electrical works.
• M1, from 10pm February 21 to 5.30am February 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 20 to junction 22, Lane closures and slip road closures for electrical works, diversion via National Highways roads.
• M1, from 10pm February 22 to 5am February 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 8 to junction 6 - lane closures due to communications works on behalf of Ringway.
• A414, from 10pm February 23 to 5am February 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 9 - exit slip road closure, lane closure and diversion route due to drainage works on behalf of Ringway.
• M25, from 10pm February 26 to 6am March 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 anti clockwise, junction 21A to junction 21, Lane closures and link road closure for Joint inspections, diversion via National Highways Roads.
• M1, from 10pm February 27 to 5am February 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 9 to junction 8 - hard shoulder closure and lane closures due to carriageway - reconstruction/renewal works on behalf of Ringway.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
