St Albans' motorists will have 14 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Two are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A414, from 10.30pm January 7 to 5am February 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A414 Watling Street Roundabout, Lane closures for surveying works on behalf of Volkafitzpatrick.

A further 13 closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A414, from 9.30am February 26 to 4pm March 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 both directions, junction 6A to junction 10 - mobile hard shoulder closures due to carriageway sweeping works on behalf of Ringway.

• M25, from 10pm February 26 to 6am March 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 anti clockwise, junction 21A to junction 21, Lane closures and link road closure for Joint inspections, diversion via National Highways Roads.

• A414, from 10pm February 26 to 5am February 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A414 eastbound, Breakspear Way Roundabout to Park Street Roundabout - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs on behalf of National Highways.

• A414, from 10pm February 26 to 5am February 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 5 to junction 6, Lane closures and slip road closure for urgent barrier repairs, diversion via National Highways roads.

• M1, from 10pm February 27 to 5am February 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 9 to junction 8 - hard shoulder closure and lane closures due to carriageway - reconstruction/renewal works on behalf of Ringway.

• A414, from 10pm February 28 to 5am February 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound,, junction 7 to junction 6A - hard shoulder closure and lane closures due to communications works on behalf of Ringway.

• M1, from 10pm February 28 to 5am February 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound,, junction 6A to junction 8 - lane closure for communications on behalf of National Highways.

• M1, from 10pm February 29 to 5am March 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound,, junction 9 to junction 8 - hard shoulder closure and lane closure due to carriageway - reconstruction/renewal works on behalf of Ringway.

• M1, from 10pm March 5 to 5am March 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 both directions, junction 6 to junction 8 - lane closure for communications on behalf of National Highways.

• M1, from 10pm March 6 to 5am March 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 9 to junction 10 - lane closures due to carriageway - reconstruction/renewal works on behalf of Ringway.

• M1, from 10pm March 7 to 5am March 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 8 to junction 9 - hard shoulder closure and lane closure due to carriageway - reconstruction/renewal works on behalf of Ringway.
