Mum of two Tarina Green, from Hatfield, has raised £5,710.54 for Parkinson's UK after being diagnosed with the disease four years ago.

Tarina, who has worked at London Colney's Sainsbury's for 29 years, held a fundraiser at the supermarket on Saturday (April 13).

The event ran from 8am until 3pm and featured a  a raffle, lucky dip, cake and plant stalls.

Premier League footballer Kai Havertz donated a shirt signed by the Arsenal team, which raised over £1,000 on its own after being sold to a woman from Potters Bar with three young sons.

The event itself raised £3,348.54, while Tarina's JustGiving page raised a further £2,362.

Tarina's husband Geoff said: "It was a really enjoyable day. Everyone worked really hard. We were very please with how generous people can be.

Tarina was diagnosed with the condition at the age of 40 and now experiences body movements, particularly on one side of her body, along with vivid nightmares.

The 44-year-old was keen to raise money for Parkinson's UK following the support that her and her family have received.
