A piper has performed in St Albans as the area gears up for next month's D-Day 80th anniversary.
Piper George Carr performed at Hatfield Road Cemetery, playing Highland Laddie, the song famously played by Bill Millin as as he landed on Sword Beach back in 1944.
The Mayor of St Albans, Cllr Jamie Day, and Army cadet Harley Bones were among those who supported the event.
Pipers have been playing at significant locations throughout the UK in the run-up to the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings on Thursday, 6 June.
Earlier this week, St Albans Council announced plans to commemorate the historic anniversary with a full day of events planned on the day.
