Scottish band 'The Red Hot Chilli Pipers' are bringing their unique blend of bagpipes and rock music to St Albans this month as part of their 20th anniversary tour.

The band, which of course takes it's name from a playful jab at LA's Red Hot Chilli Peppers, take popular rock and pop anthems and apply a Scottish twist, creating what they proudly describe as 'bagrock'.

They will be performing at the Alban Arena on Friday, June 14.

In promoting their world tour, the group have promised audiences "bagpipes with attitude, drums with a Scottish accent and a show that leaves people with warm hearts and smiles on their faces".

Despite their seemingly small niche, the Pipers have achieved viral fame for their 'bagrock' covers of songs including Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars, Journey's Don't Stop Believing and Queen's We Will Rock You.

They initially came to prominence by winning the short lived BBC talent show When Will I Be Famous?  back in 2007 and have since performed to over 1.5 million people, selling out gigs in the UK, USA, China and venues across Europe.

The show starts at 8pm and tickets start at £36, with VIP packages available for £80.  All tickets can be purchased at alban-arena.co.uk.
