An unmarked police car was involved in a crash with another vehicle in St Albans this morning (June 5).
Police were called at around 9.02am, following reports of a two-vehicle collision in Marlborough Road at the junction with Victoria Street.
One of the vehicles involved was a black unmarked police car, with pictures from the scene showing the severe damage caused to the bumper.
Officers attended the scene and there were no reported injuries. Road closures were put in place while both vehicles were recovered.
Herts police confirmed that a police vehicle was involved, but that "the incident does not meet the threshold of an IOPC referral".
