It's not often you can score five and still end up on the losing side but that's what happened to Pinewood in the Herts Ad Sunday League.
They lost 10-5 in an incredible match with Plough & Harrow in the Herts Ad Challenge Cup.
Chris Dunn led the way with four goals for P&H while there were doubles for Niall Kateley and Marino Savva.
Charlie Gould and Billy Small got the others.
The Jim Lynch Trophy saw two matches and two comfortable home wins.
Robert Calancea scored his second hat-trick of the season as Phoenix beat Harpenden Colts OB 8-0, Ali Bangura, Sam Bozier, Sam McCord, James Plummer and Dan Johnson getting the others, but their reserves lost 3-0 to Six Bells in the other game.
Rhys Monaghan, Samuel Hanks and Harry Seeby scored for the Bells.
Both versions of the Intermediate Cup had matches played in them.
The Herts Ad version saw Alban Dynamo beat Rose & Crown Mosquito 4-2 with goals from Louis Batstone (two) Gilbert Kugbe-Dzisam, and the same score sent Brookmans Park Res through against Herts Vets.
Jamie Nelson (two), Ben Bagshaw and Bachir Loussahi were on target for the Park.
Bailey Calas hit a hat-trick as London Colney United won 5-4 at home to Oceans XI.
Olly Myers and Ewan Brand got the others for United with Daniel Law, Ryan Hamilton, Neale Waller and Tayler Fennel scoring of Oceans.
Wheathampstead 89 beat Stotfold Rovers 3-1, Ben Hallewell among the 89 scorers and Oliver Chellew replying for Stotfold.
The Herts FA's Intermediate Cup saw Strafford Arms beat FCB Hemel 6-2, Chris Blunden getting three, Jack Woods two and Lee Dykes one, while The Bull also beat Berkhamsted Tornadoes Res by the same score.
Joe Fletcher got a hat-trick there with James Todd (two) and Kai Neill also on target.
Welwyn Rangers won 6-3 at home to Langleybury Cricket Club while Wheathampstead Wanderers won 4-2 against Watford United thanks to goals from James Cooper (two), Noah Arthur-Tinworth and Joe Rabey.
Strafford Arms Res and Excel went out though, the first beaten 3-0 by Brewster Plumbing and the second 3-1 by Soca, Thomas Mullord getting the consolation.
There were two all-HASL ties as well
Akim Akinbinu was the star player for Welwyn Warriors as they beat TNF 5-1.
He got four of them, Jon Cross-Hackett netting the other, while Jon Tanton scored for TNF.
A hat-trick from Lewis Cocomazzi plus singles from Jamie Doyle and James Lawrence saw Saints overcome BWSC 5-2.
Alex Garvey and Marcus Mengal got the BWSC goals.
In the Premier Division, Brookmans Park stayed top with a walkover win against Mermaid while Borehamwood Rovers and Forever Young People drew 1-1, Dwayne Duncan the Rovers scorer.
Six Bells Res beat Mermaid Res 3-0 in Division Two while the top two in Division Three both won.
St George's stay top on goal difference after a 7-4 win over Royston Rangers, the latter's goals coming from Cameron Ferguson, Jack Hutchinson, Ryan Lawler and Chris Miller, while Welwyn Warriors Res beat Marshalswick Rovers 4-1.
Alex Acklam got two with one each for Stephen Harris and Max Mackenzie, Harry Parker replying for Rovers.
The Wrestlers beat Hatfield Comets 6-3 in the battle of the two winless clubs.
Tyler Garnett, Alfie John Rastall and Casey Zwager scored for the Comets.
Royston Rangers Res had a good day in Division Four.
First they won 9-1 against CPFC Eagles, Dan Moss getting three with singles for Scott Corley, Jon Crabtree, Dan Gillians, Dan Joseph, Michael Sinnott and Connor Smith, Ryan Pressley scoring for Eagles, and they they found out they had closed the gap on leaders Alban Dynamo Res after they lost for the first time this season.
They went down 3-2 to Hatfield Seniors Res for whom Lloyd Peters and Michael Curtis scored.
Phoenix A are now third after a 3-2 win over Monday Night, James Townsend (two) and Ethan Oba on target.
