Rain was a problem for some in the Herts Ad Sunday League but most did play and it was in the cups where most of the games took place.
The Herts Sunday Senior Cup saw five of the league's sides in action.
Borehamwood Rovers lost 2-1 at home to North Watford while Six Bells went down 1-0 to FCB Hemel.
Little Heath produced a superb performance to beat perennial challengers St Joseph's South Oxhey 3-1.
The Heath goals all came in the second half with Charlie Molnar, Tino Madziya and James Pinto on target.
They will now face Hertford Stags in round three.
FCB Hemel will have to play another HASL side after Strafford Arms beat Premier Division rivals Phoenix 2-1. Dominic Cuffy got the consolation for Phoenix.
The second round of the Herts Sunday Junior Cup saw Herts Vets advance with a 5-1 win over Alban Dynamo Res.
Robert Gradwell hit a hat-trick for the Vets with Dale Jenkins and Callum Robinson completing the victory.
They were the only ones from the league to taste victory though.
St George's were beaten 5-4 by Bullsmoor United while Wheathampstead 89 lost 4-0 at home to Everett Rovers.
Harry Parker got the consolation as Marshalswick Rovers were beaten 3-1 by St Joseph's South Oxhey Res.
There was also more group games in the Deakin White Champions Cup.
Mermaid were given the points in a walkover win over MNines while Plough & Harrow beat Houghton Athletic 3-2 with a double from Marino Savva and one for Josh Panther securing the points.
There were more round one games in the Jim Lynch Trophy with wins for Alban Dynamo, The Bull and Wheathampstead Wanderers.
Dynamo won 4-2 on penalties after drawing 1-1 with Pinewood. Corey Rodriguez got their only goal in normal time.
A shoot-out was also needed after The Bull drew 3-3 with Mermaid Res, the latter's goals coming from Ken Lee (two) and Craig Clark.
The Bull won 4-3 from 12 yards.
Wanderers cruised through with a 3-1 success over Saints, Nicholas Casadei and Edward Frost among their goals.
In the league, Brookmans Park had a walkover win against Harpenden Colts OBs to extend their lead at the top of the Premier Division.
Welwyn Warriors are the new leaders in Division One after they beat Excel 2-1 with goals from Gabriel Asare-Bekoe and Matthew Taiwo. Thomas Mullord replied for Excel.
They moved ahead of Wheathampstead Wanderers Res on goal difference after Wheato were beaten 3-1 at Hatfield Seniors, the hosts moving into fourth.
BWSC are third but missed the chance to close the gap on the top two as they drew 2-2 with Phoenix Res.
Shanahl Samarasinghe had put Phoenix two-up but an Alex Garvey double, the second on 90 minutes, rescued a point for BWSC.
In Division Two, Welwyn Rangers beat Oceans XI 5-2 with goals from Tyler McCarthy (two), Charlie Montegue, George Sippetts and Harry Tozer.
Daniel Law and Tayler Fennel were the Oceans scorers.
