St Albans City's caretaker boss Jon Meakes says victory at Torquay United was the "best performance of the season".
Saints won 4-0 at Plainmoor thanks to doubles from Shaun Jeffers and Giorgio Rasulo, three of them in the first half.
It lifts City up to sixth but it was the manner of the success that delighted Meakes.
He said: "I'm over the moon. It's the best performance of the season by a country mile.
"To come to a place like Torquay, a full-time outfit, and play the football we did and control the game from the first minute to the last, was fantastic from my perspective.
"It was the way we started the game. We looked after the ball and didn't give it away like last week and so it allowed us to control it and move it.
"And the way we moved it through our pivots, through our 10s and out to our wing-backs just cause them all sorts of problems.
"I knew they had their captain missing and he plays at the back and controls things so we wanted to exploit that.
"We told Shaun to play on the shoulder and stretch them as that would create space for Gio and Mitch in behind.
"We got four but could have had five, six or even seven.
"We didn't want to sit back and wanted to put back-to-back performances from first half to second half.
"We hit the bar three or four times.
"Injuries definitely help as does confidence and understanding positions and where we want them to play."
