The Herts Ad Sunday League is still playing catch-up after postponements for weather and it is having a big effect on the league tables.
A double header in the Premier Division saw Six Bells claim six points against Mermaid and leap up to second, three points behind leaders Brookmans Park with three games in hand.
Six Bells won the first game 3-0 with Frankie Jowle at the double and Rhys Monaghan getting the other.
Jowle also scored in the second game, this one a 1-0 success.
Phoenix were the others in action and they won 7-0 against Forever Young People.
It leaves them fifth, three points behind Six Bells but having played two games less.
Ali Bangura got a hat-trick mark with Wilson Mendes, Jack Taylor, Sam Bozier and Robert Calancea the others on target.
Phoenix Res meanwhile suffered a 4-0 loss in Division One, the win moving Welwyn Warriors one point behind leaders Wheathampstead Wanderers Res.
Mitchell Ryan (two), Gabriel Asare-Bekoe and Rowan Wallis were the Welwyn scorers.
Former Warrior James led the way for The Bull with four goals in a 7-1 success over Pinewood.
A double from Joe Fletcher and one for Sam Crafts sealed the victory.
There are new leaders in Division Two, Six Bells Res after a 5-1 win over Brookmans Park Res.
Ollie Astley and Niall Lysaght were at the double with Conor Flanagan also scoring, Bradley Carter replying for Park.
They jumped above Strafford Arms Res who lost 3-2 to Welwyn Rangers.
Billy Dean, Tyler McCarthy and George Sippetts scored for Welwyn with Tim Jolly and Zack Neiman on target for the Arms.
The biggest win of the day though belonged to Saints who beat Oceans XI 12-0.
James Lawrence (three), Jarvis Fluckiger-Wilkins (two), James Manfree and Callum and Ryan Solly were among the goals.
TNF meanwhile jumped off the bottom with a 4-2 win at Mermaid Res.
Jon Tanton scored all of their goals with Ken Lee and Josh Sparkes replying.
There was slight movement at the bottom of Division Three too as bottom club Hatfield Comets pulled level with The Wrestlers after they drew 4-4 with Rose & Crown Mosquito.
Josh Blackburn, Dan Gurney, Alfie John Rastall and Rhys Redwood Aiken got their goals.
The Wrestlers themselves lost 2-1 to Hertfordshire Vets, a Will Orridge goal cancelled out by a Robert Gradwell double.
Cameron Ferguson got two as well as Royston Rangers beat Marshalswick Rovers 2-1, Matt Lacey with the consolation for Rovers.
Stotfold Rovers remain top of Division Four after a 7-0 success over Monday Night but they still have company behind them after a 10-0 win for Alban Dynamo Res against Royston Rangers Res.
Louie Clarke and Joe Evans bagged two each for Stotfold with Shadrach Gittens-Brown, Dave Lewis and Jack Webb getting their other goals.
Albans' scorers were Ollie West with five, Louis Batstone with three and Aarron Crawford and Corey Rodriguez with one each.
A late Bailey Calas goal gave London Colney United a 1-0 win over Hatfield Seniors Res.
In cup action there was a 4-1 victory for Strafford Arms over Luton Celtic in the Deakin White Challenge Cup.
George Beattie (two), Erivaldo Felix and Matthew Walsh sent the Arms into the last eight where they will face Dunstable side Beecroft Community Centre from the Leighton & District League.
Borehamwood Rovers and Little Heath advance in the Jim Lynch Trophy.
Rovers beat Excel 5-0 while Little Heath knocked out Premier Division leaders Brookman Park 1-0, Nick Baker on target.
They both advance to the quarter-final.
There was a 7-1 win for Welwyn Warriors Res over Phoenix A in group A of the Herts Ad Reserve Cup.
Alex Acklam and John Woodward got two each while Stephen Harris and Max McKenzie also scored for Warriors.
Josh Peddar replied for Phoenix.
