Six Bells may have played more games than their rivals for their Herts Ad Sunday League Premier Division title but they are certainly making them work hard.
A double header success over Forever Young People saw them move back to the summit, four points ahead of both Phoenix and Brookmans Park, although the two chasers have three and one games in hand.
The first match finished 3-1 with Jack Faulder, Rhys Monaghan and Elliot Myrants-Wilson on target, and they won 4-0 in the second with goals from Yasin Boodhoo, Frankie Jowle, Monaghan and Mickey Shuttlewood.
Park also played, winning 3-1 against Mermaid with Callum Baylis, Adam Page and Rhys Hunt on target for them, Joe Amponsah replying for Mermaid.
The Division One title race also took another twist as second-placed Welwyn Warriors defeated leaders Wheathampstead Wanderers Res 1-0.
Gabriel Asare-Bekoe's goal leaves Welwyn three points behind with a game in hand.
The top two in Division Two both won.
Leaders Six Bells Res beat Saints 6-1 to stay a point ahead of Welwyn Rangers, who won 4-2 against Brookmans Park Res.
Luke Laurence (two), Tyler McCarthy and Billy Dean scored for Welwyn and Sammy Kinsley and Charlie Philippou for Park.
Royston Rangers sealed second placed in Division Three with a 2-1 win over Wheathampstead 89 thanks to goals from Jack Hutchinson and Ryan Lawler.
Matthew Eason scored for Wheathampstead.
Alban Dynamo Res remain well in the hunt for the Division Four title after sharing a double header with leaders Stotfold Rovers.
Each won one of the two games, Rovers 2-0 and Dynamo 5-3 in the other.
It leaves Stotfold nine points clear of their opponents but having played four games more.
London Colney United beat Monday Night 4-1 in the other game with Byron Robinson-Meiklejohn (two) and Ben Hobden among the scorers.
Strafford Arms exited the Deakin White Champions Cup, losing 4-1 to St Joseph's in the quarter-final.
A John Woodward hat-trick and a Ross Ford single saw Welwyn Warriors Res defeat Hatfield Seniors Res 4-0 in the Herts Ad Reserve Cup.
Top scorers of the day were Phoenix A who thrashed Royston Rangers Res 12-0.
Josh Peddar got five and Darren Cavaree two, with Jack Lovett, Alfie Hopkinson-Badgery, Danny Sherman, James Townshend and Matt Westmore sharing the other five between them.
In the Herts Ad Charity Cup, Alban Dynamo fell to a 2-0 defeat against Little Heath, Nick Baker and Jonathan Rutnam the scorers.
Two goals from Martin Gurney and singles by Alex Garvey and Jack Humberstone gave BWSC a 4-2 win against Rose & Crown Mosquito in the Goulding Cup.
Phoenix Res and TNF shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, Jon Sebry for Phoenix and Jay Telford for TNF while Alex Gates hit a hat-trick as Harpenden Colts OB beat Wrestlers 6-0.
Other goals came from Jamie Jones, Luke Marsh and Connor Norton.
