William Cormack

Cormack William "Bill" Bill, aged 94yrs, passed away peacefully on Tuesday 2nd January at Courtlands Care Home, nr Penzance Cornwall. Born in Wick, Scotland, he worked for what was to become British Telecom and in 1962 he and wife Myra moved from Scotland to Cornwall, to join Goonhilly Satellite Station. Upon promotion in 1984, he and Myra moved to St Albans, both joining a local church and a Caledonian Society, enjoying Scottish country dancing. Sadly Myra passed in 1994 aged only 64 yrs. Bill remained in St Albans, receiving much support from both church and neighbours. In 2021, following several falls, Bill moved to Cornwall to the care home to be near to his son Derek, daughter-in-law Michelle and grand-daughters, Rosie and Bryony. Bill was much loved by his family and all that new him. The funeral is at 3pm on Tuesday 16th January - Treswithian Crematorium, Camborne, Cornwall, overseen by Co-op Funeralcare Tel: 01209 612332
