An historic sweets and tobacco shop in Harpenden has opened a new store in St Albans.
Thorns, which opened its doors on Monday (May 15), is located at 19 George Street.
The store has been an ever present on Harpenden's High Street for 105 years, having first opened in 1918.

The shop claims to be the oldest established shop in Harpenden.
It was once run by the much-loved Moxley family, but is now under the stewardship of Maurizio Salustro and Jonny Harris.
Now expanding to St Albans, a "wide range of sweets" are available at the location, which boasts "an extensive tobacco and cigar selection to suit everyone’s tastes".

A mixture of "old time classics" and modern confectionary are available at the store.
Thorns website states: "From sushi sweet platters and candy pizzas to Harry Potter Bertie Bott's Beans, you'll find a your sweet spot at Thorns with the fun, ever changing selection on offer."
