Hertfordshire police have launched an appeal after a dangerously out of control dog was reported to have scratched a woman in St Albans.
The incident took place at around 12.15pm on Thursday, July 13.
At that time, it was reported that an "Alsatian-type dog" approached a woman on Highfield Lane, Tyttenhanger.
According to police, the animal jumped up and scratched the woman's arm before it, and its owner, left the area.

Officers have since released an image of an individual who may have been in the area at the time.
PC Seán Lannon said: “Our enquiries are continuing, and we are appealing for further information.
“We are releasing this image because we believe the individual pictured may have been in the area at the time and could assist with our enquiries.
