Harpenden singer Alice Fredenham wowed Simon Cowell on Britain's Got Talent, and quickly amassed a devoted following of fans who have been asking what happened to her, after she disappeared from social media.

Well, the Herts Ad can now provide an update after efforts to find out more about where Alice has been and what she's been doing.

Beauty therapist Alice made a name for herself in 2013, thanks to a stunning rendition of My Funny Valentine on Britain’s Got Talent, with Simon Cowell describing her voice as "liquid platinum".

She did suffer setbacks though, having been rejected on The Voice a year prior and seeing hopes of a full album deal with Sony dashed when she was released from a demo contract.

She did release an album with Cherry Red Records in 2017 though, titled Under the Covers, further growing her fanbase.

The Herts Ad attempted to contact Alice, but did not received a response.

Patrick Phillips, who recorded Under the Covers with her, also did not respond to our request for an interview or comment regarding Alice's career.

Cherry Red Records did respond though, but their short statement leaves fans with little to no hope of Alice returning with new music.

"Alice has retired from the music industry and wishes to retain her privacy," said a spokesman for the label.

Alice, who hasn't posted on social media since December 2017, is still adored by her fans, but it looks certain that her career, and their hopes for new music from the singing sensation, are over.
