The Harpenden Society is inviting residents to nominate their favourite buildings in the town for its 2023 awards.
The awards have been running for more than 40 years, and you can now nominate buildings and developments that serve the interests of the town, not just architecturally designed structures.
This includes buildings within the Conservation area that have been developed to maintain standards.
All residents in Harpenden can nominate work completed during the year ending December 2023.
Nomination forms can be found at www.harpendensociety.org.
Nominees should have some real benefits to the town and local community, whether to a large number of residents or a smaller active group, rather than just an attractive-looking building.
Winners will be crowned in three categories. In order of importance, these are two Harpenden Society plaques, certificates of merit and letters of commendation.

Contenders already on the list include the new affordable homes at Roan Place and the new all-weather pitch and development ground in Rothamsted Park.
Nominations must be submitted by January 31, 2024.
The winners will be advised by April 3, ahead of an announcement at the Harpenden Society AGM later that month.
Presentations will be made either at the AGM or at the winning venues.
