A St Albans resident, wanted following a burglary in Hemel Hempstead, has been found hiding in a wardrobe.
The 34-year-old was discovered at 7.40am this morning (Thursday, November 23) in Mortimer Crescent, St Albans, while officers were looking for a different individual.
The man, who remains in police custody at this time, was wanted in connected with a burglary at a nail salon in Stoneycroft, Hemel Hempstead.
This incident is reported to have taken place at around 6.30am on November 3.
A Facebook post by Hertfordshire Constabulary read: "Safer Neighbourhood Officers and Intervention Officers were out early this morning on an arrest enquiry at an address in St Albans.

"Although we didn’t find who we were after, we did however arrest another individual at the address hiding in a wardrobe who was wanted for burglary."
A spokesperson for the service later told The Herts Advertiser: "He was arrested at 7.40am on Mortimer Crescent, St Albans on suspicion of commercial burglary at a nail salon on Stoneycroft, Hemel Hempstead, which reportedly took place on November 3 at around 6.30am.
"The man who was arrested is aged 34 from St Albans."
Hertfordshire Constabulary later confirmed that the individual remains on police bail.
