Following the refusal of an application to remove trees for a housing development near St Albans city centre, a second application has been made.
The construction of nine dwellings on land to the rear of 103-105 St Peter's Street has already been approved by St Albans City & District Council's planning committee.
Car parking and "associated landscaping" is included within the plans.
An application to remove approximately five sycamore trees and remove ivy from the remaining trees, on the land of the approved development, was refused in November.
At the time, a decision notice read: "The group of sycamore where identified for retention as part of the approved planning application 5/2021/3277. The proposed works will fragment the group, reduce their amenity value and lead to the potential for failure.
"The works are refused."
