Apple TV's highly-anticipated Masters of the Air series is set to feature scenes shot in Hemel Hempstead.
The war drama will be available for streaming on Friday, January 26, and sees Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg return as producers
The pair created the ground-breaking Band of Brothers and The Pacific, and fans of those series are hopefully Masters of the Air will be just as good.
Starring Austin Butler, Barry Keoghan, Callum Turner and Anthony Boyle, the show is based on the 2007 book, Masters of the Air: America's Bomber Boys Who Fought the Air War Against Nazi Germany by Donald L. Miller.
The drama will follow the actions of the 100th Bomb Group, a B-17 Flying Fortress unit in the US Eighth Air Force that was nicknamed the "Bloody Hundredth" due to the heavy losses it incurred during the Second World War.
Hanks and Spielberg used Hatfield as the base for the filming of Band of Brothers, and they returned to Hertfordshire to film scenes for Masters of the Air.
Cameras descended on Hemel Hempstead in August 2021 to capture shots in the old town, with sandbags and old signage put up to create a mock air raid shelter, as well as vintage and military vehicles lining the streets.

In a letter to residents the production team said it would "hide signs of modern life" and keep disruption to a minimum.
Make sure you keep an eye out for Hemel Hempstead when Masters of the Air begins streaming on Apple TV on Friday.
