Hertfordshire police have re-appealed for information after a woman was grabbed, threatened and told to get into a car in Hemel Hempstead.
The re-appeal comes today (Thursday, January 25) following the incident on Thursday, January 11.
Between 4am and 4.20am, the woman had been walking on St John’s Road, in the Boxmoor area.
A white or light-coloured car drove past her, and pulled into Sebright Road before stopping.
The woman was then approached by an unknown male, who is believed to have been driving the vehicle.
The man grabbed her and verbally threatened her to get into his car before, fearing for her safety, the victim collapsed to the floor.
The unknown male then picked up her handbag and walked off, before the vehicle was driven away from the area.
The woman then sought help, and Hertfordshire police were called.
Her handbag was later found discarded in a bin on Parkwood Drive.
A London man was arrested on Thursday, January 18 on suspicion of attempted kidnap and robbery.
He remains on conditional bail, while enquiries continue.
Hertfordshire Constabulary are issuing a renewed appeal for information about a vehicle.
Investigator Lisa Brown said: “We’d like to thank everyone who has contacted us with information, your calls have made a difference.
“We’ve viewed footage from more than 50 CCTV systems as part of our enquiries so far, but we’re still appealing for further witnesses to come forward.
“We’d especially like to hear from anyone who may have seen a white Nissan Qashqai being driven around Hemel Hempstead between 2am and 7am on Thursday, January 11, particularly in the Boxmoor and Warners End/Long Chaulden areas.
“Did you see a vehicle of this description acting out of the ordinary or parking up anywhere? Did you capture any CCTV or doorbell camera footage?
