A St Albans playground is set to reopen following the success of a £100,000 fundraiser.
The Bernards Heath children's area will be officially opened by the city's MP Daisy Cooper tomorrow (Saturday, February 3).
The 'Let's Play at Bernards Heath' charity has successfully raised funds using donations and a 'buy a brick' campaign.
SUGGESTED READING
In November, St Albans City & District Council and Let’s Play chose a design which they believe relates to both young and older children, is in keeping with the heath’s leafy surroundings and scores highly on inclusivity.
Announcing the opening event, a poster designed by the charity reads: "We did it! Help us celebrate as we finally open the gates to the new playground.
"Thank you for helping us to make this all possible. Bring the family along and let's play at Bernards Heath!"
