The headteacher of Sandringham School in St Albans is "delighted" after the setting was rated 'outstanding' in all areas by Ofsted.
Following inspections on Wednesday, February 7 and Thursday, February 8, the school received Ofsted's highest rating in quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management and sixth-form provision.
The school's head, Alan Gray, commented: "We are delighted that Ofsted continue to judge Sandringham as outstanding, having inspected the school in February and finding the school meets the outstanding criteria in all categories.
"The lead inspector said this school is brilliant, and the inspectors had a wonderful time digging into excellence.
"It is a privilege to be part of this wonderful school and to be able to continue shaping the lives of those who attend.
"I would like to congratulate the students who are wonderful ambassadors for young people, and thank all the staff for their expertise and enthusiasm in delivering a very high quality of education to those who attend the school.
"One of our key phrases here is ‘there are no limits’, and we will use this inspection to continue developing to ensure Sandringham remains a truly great school."
Ofsted's report into Sandringham described its "superbly designed curriculum" and "high-quality teaching".
The report reads: "Pupils understand the school’s expectations of their conduct and live up to them.
"They take their studies seriously and approach learning with enthusiasm. Lessons are very purposeful and productive.
"Pupils proudly speak about their many awards such as house points and golden tickets.
"Each stage of learning is precisely planned.
"This ensures that pupils build a rich understanding of their subjects and remember what they study.

The school's atmosphere between pupils was also praised by Ofsted, with the report adding: "Pupils enjoy learning alongside their peers. They work hard and thrive in the positive learning environment, demonstrating the school’s values of kindness and humility.
"Equipped with well-developed social and academic skills, pupils willingly and capably help each other when faced with tricky aspects of their studies."
