Cute newborn lambs will steal the show when Oaklands College's legendary 'Lambing Weekend' returns this weekend.

The college, which has sites in St Albans, Welwyn Garden City and Borehamwood, is looking forward to one of its most popular events of the year.

Oaklands College will once again be holding its Lambing Weekend in the St Albans campus grounds, in Hatfield Road, on Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24 from 10am to 4pm.

The weekend is hugely loved by families and children, and has been a key event in St Albans for 12 years.

Lambing Weekend gives families the chance to get involved with the busy lambing season and see the lambs up close in the lambing sheds.

But it isn't only about lambs. There are many other farm animals to enjoy, such as the ‘Hartoak herd' and the Highland calves, the Oxford Sandy and Black pigs, alpacas, goats, donkeys and more.

And, for horse-lovers, there will also be beautiful equine demonstrations throughout the day.

As always, there is also the chance to visit the Habitat Centre, which houses exotic animals including reptiles, insects, meerkats, and lemurs.

Away from the animals there is a whole range of other activities to get stuck into, such as arts and crafts, puppet shows, steam train rides, as well as unlimited access to some thrilling fairground rides, all included in your ticket price.

There's also photo opportunities on the farm tractors, farm games to play, face painting and a safari scavenger hunt.

And if you get peckish, there will be a variety of delicious food and drink options from the stalls dotted around.

This beloved tradition in the St Albans community has been going strong since 2011, offering a day filled with fun activities, adorable lambs, and delicious food.

And last, but definitely not least, special guests Bluey and Bingo, from TV's CBeebies, will be at Lambing Weekend.
