A man in his 50s who was 'acting suspiciously' has been arrested for carrying a bladed article in Redbourn.
On Tuesday (March 19), Hertfordshire police were alerted by a call from a member of the public to the man in Lybury Lane.
Attending the scene, officers arrested the man and seized two knives, a pair of scissors and golf clubs.
The man, who is from Luton, has since been charged with possession of a knife in a public place.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "Thanks to a call from a member of the public, we arrested a man in Lybury Lane in #Redbourn on Tuesday for possession of a bladed article (knife) in a public place.
"The man aged in his 50s from Luton has been charged and will be appearing in court.
"A man had been reported for acting suspiciously in the area.
"Two knives, scissors and golf clubs have been seized."
