Pictures from the scene of a crash involving a bus and multiple cars in St Albans have the revealed the scale of collision.
Police, fire and ambulance crews rushed to the scene in Hatfield Road yesterday afternoon (April 4), after the incident near the junction with Austen Way, close to the Speckled Hen pub.

The driver of the bus was been taken to hospital and others involved are being treated at the scene for injuries.
Pictures captured at the scene show the bus off the road, having smashed through a fence, while a number of damaged cars can be seen on flatbed lorries following the crash.

"A bus has been in collision with a number of cars on the Hatfield Road, by Austen Way near to the Speckled Hen Pub," said a Herts police spokesman.
"The circumstances are unclear at this time, but the bus driver needed medical attention at the scene and was transferred to hospital. A number of other people were treated at the scene.
"Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call 101 quoting ISR 430 of 4/4."
The Herts Ad has contacted the East of England Ambulance Service for an update, but is yet to receive a response.
