Plans have been submitted to add an additional storey to an existing home in Radlett, creating a six-bedroom dwelling.

If accepted, the application would see a partial garage conversion also take place at 39 The Ridgeway, along with landscaping works at the front of the address.

Floor plans, 3D models and sunlight studies have all been included in the plans.

Four bedrooms, including the master bedroom, would be located on the first floor along with a walk-in wardrobe.

Two further bedrooms would sit on the property's loft floor.

A design statement included within the application states that the proposal would "complement the site, add architectural and spatial quality, while respecting its immediate surroundings".

The statement continues: "The quality of the architecture and the materials used intend to echo the existing house whilst respecting its immediate environment, defining a contemporary vernacular architecture, that responds within its existing context.
