The Hardynge Choir will say goodbye to musical director Rufus Frowde at their summer concert in Wheathampstead.

Rufus has been the choir's musical director since 2011, and is moving on to a role as artistic director of the English Chamber Choir.

Since taking over the Hardynge Choir, Rufus has introduced them to a wide repertoire of music, including well-known classical works, lesser-known pieces, jazz and folk music.

The final concert, entitled 'Dawning of the Day', takes place at the Marford Memorial Hall at 7pm on Saturday, June 29.

Tickets cost £17 for adults, £9 for students and free for under-16s, and are available at www.hardyngechoir.org.

The concert will feature a programme of British and international folk songs for choir and piano, with the choir's regular accompanist, Matthew Woodward, on piano.
