Finalists have been announced for Hertfordshire’s very own Oscars as the county’s Roaring Twenties-themed business awards approach.

Companies have been nominated across 20 categories in the Inspiring Hertfordshire Awards, with the winners set to be announced at a gala dinner at Tewinbury Farm Hotel on Thursday, June 27.

The awards are run by the Old Hatfield-based Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce, which is celebrating its centenary this year — and in line with the organisation’s 1924 founding year, the evening will follow a 1920s theme.

Chamber managing director Donna Schultz said: “Massive congratulations to all of our shortlisted businesses, and thank you to everyone who entered. The standard this year gave our judges a big headache.

“We’re now really looking ahead to our gala dinner and revealing who has won each category. Two special recognition awards will also be announced.”

Leading the way are Quanta Consultancy Services, RDT Architects and WMT Chartered Accountants, all of which are shortlisted in four categories, with eight other companies recognised in three categories.

Donna said: “The greatest power that we, as business people, have is the ability to recognise our own strengths and challenges, and connect with the right people.

"That sums up the spirit of our Inspiring Herts Awards. They’re about celebrating the achievements of other people, yes – but they’re also about pushing yourself to the next level, and making links with the right contacts to help you get there. This gala dinner is just the place to do exactly that.

“This is always a special occasion, but particularly so this year, as we’re marking the centenary of our Chamber. The evening will surely live long in the memory, and I’m really looking forward to sharing it with all of you.”

Some of the ticket receipts from the awards, sponsored by Viatris and SA Law, will go to the Hertfordshire Community Foundation, the Chamber’s charity partner for 2024.

Time is running out to book your place at the awards. To find out more and book your seats, see hertschamber.com/events, email awards@hertschamber.com, or call 01707 502180.
