These planning applications are among the public notices St Albans and Harpenden residents should know about this week.

1. Dagnall Street

Permission has been sought to change the lower ground floor at Dagnall House on Lower Dagnall Street from an office into a registered tuition centre.

3.  Salisbury Avenue

Proposals have been made for a single storey extension and the installation of new windows at Holly Lodge on Salisbury Avenue in Harpenden.

4. Fishpool Street

Plans have also been submitted for a garage to be converted into a garden room and en-suite shower at 46 Fishpool Street , St Albans.

The proposals would also see the development of three rooflights and  he replacement of a garage door with a sliding patio door.
