Drivers in and around St Albans will have 19 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
Six of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• M1, from 10pm July 8 to 5.30am July 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 5 to junction 6, Lane and slip road closure for Sign works, diversion via Local Authorities.
A further 18 closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M25, from 10pm July 15 to 5am July 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 21A to junction 22, Lane closure for Bridge structure inspections.
• A414, from 9pm July 16 to 5am July 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A414 eastbound, M1, junction 8 to Park Street Roundabout - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs on behalf of National Highways.
• M25, from 10pm July 16 to 5am July 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 21A to junction 22, Lane closure for bridge structure inspections.
• M25, from 10pm July 17 to 5am July 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 Anticlockwise, junction 22 to junction 21A, Lane closure for Bridge structure inspections.
• M1, from 10pm July 17 to 5am July 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 6A to junction 6, Lane closure for urgent safety fence repairs.
• A414, from 10pm July 18 to 5am July 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 6A to junction 6, Lane and slip road closure for urgent safety fence repairs, diversion viaNational Highways roads.
• M25, from 11pm July 19 to 5am July 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 Anticlockwise, junction 22, slip road closure for street lighting works.
• M1, from 11pm July 19 to 5am July 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 6A to junction 6, Lane closure for urgent safety fence repairs.
• M1, from 11pm July 19 to 5am July 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 5 to junction 6, Lane closure for urgent safety fence repairs.
• M1, from 10pm July 22 to 5am July 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 southbound,, junction 10 to junction 9 - lane closures for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal on behalf of National Highways.
• M1, from 10pm July 22 to 5am July 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 both directions, junction 6A to junction 9 - lane closures due to inspection/survey works on behalf of National Highways.
• M25, from 10pm July 22 to 5am July 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti-Clockwie, junction 22 to junction 21, Lane closure for routine works.
• M25, from 10pm July 23 to 5am July 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti clockwise, junction 22 to junction 21, Lane closures for technology replacement works.
• M1, from 10pm July 24 to 5am July 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M1 northbound,, junction 6A to junction 8 - lane closures for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal on behalf of National Highways.
• A414, from 10pm July 26 to 5am July 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A414 southbound,, junction 8 - entry slip road closure, lane closure and diversion route due to carriageway - reconstruction/renewal works on behalf of Ringway.
• M1, from 10pm July 27 to 5.30am July 29, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 5 to junction 6A, Lane and slip road closure for carriageway repairs, diversion via Local Authorities.
• M25, from 10pm July 29 to 6am August 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 anti clockwise, junction 22 to junction 21A, Lane closures, slip road closure and carriageway closure for surfacing works, diversion via local authority roads.
• M1, from 10pm July 29 to 6am August 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 5 to junction 6, Lane closures, slip road closures and carriageway closure for surfacing works, diversion via local authority roads.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
