A St Albans Catholic School celebrated its 60th anniversary with a special Mass at the city's cathedral, with a visit from the Archbishop of Westminster.
Cardinal Vincent Nichols attended a Mass at St Albans Cathedral to commemorate the historic milestone.
Cardinal Nichols encouraged the students and staff at the St Albans school to continue to uphold the school's motto "Per Tuas Semitas" by living 'In Thy Ways' of Christ as a guiding principle for life.
Headmaster Declan Linnane said: "This special event was a poignant reminder of NBS's enduring legacy and the values that have shaped our institution over the past six decades.
"Throughout this special service, we were blessed to be led by our talented choir with heartfelt hymns."
Students performed musical and dramatic performances that illustrated key world events from the school's rich six decade history, from Beatlemania to COVID-19.
