Ed Sheeran sprinkled some stardust on Hertfordshire on a surprise visit to a Sainsbury's in London Colney.
The 33-year-old pop star sparked a social media frenzy last night (August 12) when he took to Instagram to announce a visit to the AL2 postcode at 11am this morning.
Fans quickly figured out that he would be appearing at the Sainsbury's in London Colney and arrived in their droves this morning.
Some travelled from as far as Surrey and South London, with one fan even coming all the way from Germany.
Ed's visit was to promote Tingly Ted's, a range of hot sauces that he launched last year.
Excited fans queued outside the venue in the hope of meeting their hero - with one making a four-hour trip in the hope of getting his guitar signed.
Ed spoke to fans inside the supermarket and even handed out pizzas to those gathered outside the venue.
Of course, this was not Ed's first visit to Hertfordshire - he famously filmed the music video for his 2011 single Lego House in Hatfield alongside Harry Potter star Rupert Grint.
