More than 150 people have now signed up for next month's Great St Albans Challenge.
The interactive treasure hunt takes place on September 29 and will see participants channel their inner Sherlock Holmes as they race around the city.
Starting and finishing at St Albans Cathedral, the challenge will be GPS led, with participants using their mobile phones to find hotspots to complete tasks throughout the day.
Raising money for charity Youth Talk, the event aims to show off the city's landmarks while aiding a good cause.
Several of the St Albans business owners taking the part in the challenge have revealed their dream hunt partners in a series of interviews on Instagram.
Tony Earley owner of fashion boutique Earley's, said that his dream partners would be actors Kristen Stewart and Daniel Craig along with Hertfordshire native and seven-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton.
Waffle Wands co-owner Sophie Stafford also went close to home with her dream team, selecting St Albans' Olympian Max Whitlock and Princess Diana, who opened the Maltings Shopping Centre in 1988.

On the challenge, she said: "I love St Albans. I love the people here, it's a part of my heart."
