A 'complex' points failure is causing issues for passengers at St Albans City station today (September 16), with cancellations and delays on the Thameslink service.
Shortly before 7am this morning staff identified issues at the station causing delays to rush hour services.
No Thameslink services have been running between Streatham and Sutton, with the company writing on X, formerly known as Twitter, that "this incident is proving complex to resolve, and we are working to maintain as regular a service as possible".
To help passengers, tickets are being accepted on Southern services between Sutton and London Victoria, South Western Railway services between Sutton and Waterloo, as well as on London Buses and the underground.
Thameslink say that delays of around 20 minutes should be expected until around 4pm.
