Police have closed the an M1 interchange in Flamstead following flooding caused by heavy downpours last night and this morning (September 23).
The A8183 - between Watery Lane and the M1 in Flamstead - will be closed for "a couple of days" as bad weather has made it unsafe for motorists.

Officers have urged motorists to take extra care on the roads and allow additional time for their journeys.
They have also warned drivers not to risk driving through flooded water as it may be deeper than it seems.
