The de Havilland Aircraft Museum recently raised more than £700 at a coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The event was held at the museum's Comet Café area, offering a variety of cakes, donated plants, and hand-crafted cards.
The Newkulele (U3A) Fun Band played two performances in the Walter Goldsmith Hangar, adjacent to the prototype Mosquito exhibit, which was said to have boosted attendance.
Co-organiser Ray Gomm said: "I am delighted that the coffee morning is now a fixture in the museum’s calendar.
"It was an excellent result in the current economic circumstances."
Museum volunteer, Derek Lamb, added: "The morning is a great way of bringing together the volunteers.
"Most of us work on different days so seldom get to meet many of our colleagues."
